Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Test Facilities

Here at Aerotest we have designed and supplied APU testing centers worldwide for over 30 years with our wide range of Test Facilities for APU testing. All Aerotest test facilities have been fully correlated and approved by the OEM’s. Our APU testing facilities are designed to test APUs at all test conditions, with full performance analysis confidently producing reliable and confirmed data.

Our high-speed data acquisition systems have allowed manufacturers, MROs and APU testing centers across the world to increase efficiency and return on investment by optimising test throughput rates.

Our APU test cells are equipment with computer controlled resistive load banks up to 120 Kw and optional inductive load banks to establish kVAR. System reports include kV, kVAR, Phase to phase Voltage, Phase Lag, kW in 5, 10 and 20 kW selectable/programmable steps.

Bleed Air load measurement and response rate control systems are all installed in stainless steel ISO British Standard measurement sections with pre-calibrated orifice plates, which are fully instrumented to provide detailed computerised test reports.

Our APU testing facilities with multiple test trollies provide a faster return on investment for our customers by utilising the capability to test a wide range of APUs from small business jets, B777/B787s and Airbus A320/A330/A380s.
